Freida Pinto
Steph: Chris, our Slumdog ingénue dances a delicate number with flair and couture and wins her way onto my best dressed list for this week. Freida is magnificent when she’s completely encased in Louis Vuitton. The tiered drama of her skirt and rich royal blue of her simple top call attention to her and her outfit for all the right reasons - because both are simply stunning. I don’t even mind the open-toed booties, which usually aren’t my favourite footwear statement. The vibrancy of the Vuitton is startling and I find myself eagerly waiting to see what Freida will wear next!
Her Verdict: Style Winner
Christopher: For the past year I’ve been pretty vocal about my thoughts on the last couple LV collections, and in case you’ve missed them, I haven’t been impressed with much of March Jacobs’ creative direction lately. This couture number that Freida wore to the Pret a Porter show in Paris last week that you are fawning over Steph is a bit of a mess in my opinion. Seriously…the only thing remotely consistent is the blinding electric blue colour. Other than that it’s incredibly ill-fitting, and the tattered tutu look is so tired. I can hear the outcry now from Freida fans… but, even though I am a fan of the actress, this LV mess she’s wearing just doesn’t do it for me.
