        A Canadian event brings out some horrendous red carpet fashion in this week's Style Winners and Losers.

        Christopher: Country's most fashionable star looked absolutely lovely last week when she walked the red carpet at the annual Songwriters Hall of Fame event in NYC. Taylor Swift's beautifully draped J. Mendel frock that she wore that night was simple with just enough elegance to ensure she dazzled. The lavender dress seemed to float like a dream and the flower in Taylor's updo was the perfect finishing touch, don't you think Steph?
        His Verdict: Style Winner

        Steph: I think you're spot-on with your assessment! The lavender IS lovely and how about those delicate little barely-there straps? Aren't they a perfect addition to the dress? I love the fitted bodice and the soft sway of the skirt. She's just so gosh-darned pretty!

        I am not fond of that ornament in her hair + would chose other shoes for this outfit. Even though this dress colour is not ideal for her pale skin, she looks really lovely.

        Only if she remembered to remove that price tag from the bottom of her shoes. ;)

        I don't really care for the flower in her hair, but I love the color and softness of the dress. She looks like she could float while she walks in it.

        Beautiful dress! Though I still wish she'd wear a little less makeup. At her age and with her looks, she doesn't need to wear a mask.

        I doubt that could be a price tag--it's too small to hold 5 figures...

        Taylor seems to be favouring lilac these days. One of the reasons I don't care for the flower is its colour. And I think that for a posed photo, she could have positioned her legs more gracefully.

        I don't find her pretty in a conventional sense, Steph, but she makes the most of what she has, and that's what we all should do.
