Mariah Carey
Christopher: Mark my words…2010 will be the year that Mariah Carey redeems herself on the red carpet. After years of wearing different variations of the same LBD (that never really looked that good on her in the first place) the diva seems to be changing it up a bit. Steph, her white Ysa Makino beaded halter gown that she wore to last week’s People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles was the perfect way to start off the year if you ask me. It’s elegant but there is still something characteristically Mariah about it. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I kinda can’t wait to see what Mariah wears next.
His Verdict: Style Winner
Steph: Okay Chris, consider your words marked! And you’re right, there’s something very “Mariah” about it all…probably about the way it showcases her assets so lovingly. But, I like how Mariah is learning to marry sex appeal and class. The slight train is also feminine, flirty and fun (three cheers for alliteration!) and adds some drama to the snow-white gown. Well done Mariah, we’re hoping for the best in 2010...don’t let us down.
