Steph: Caveat: I devoured The Time Traveler’s Wife in book format like Gwyneth Paltrow must attack solid foods after one of her cleanses. What I mean, Chris, is that I adored it and have spent the lead-up to the movie’s release with my fingers crossed as I rock back and forth muttering “Please don’t mess it up Rachel” to myself over and over. I haven’t caught the flick yet…but right here is proof that Rachel got at least one thing picture perfect and that’s her outfit for the movie’s premiere. Holy smokes! Now THIS is a true movie star. The Emilio Pucci dress dabbles dangerously in wardrobe malfunction territory, but the luxurious draping saves it from being too slinky, don’t you think Chris? I’m not even too fussed about the borderline-1980s shoulder pads. And I’m loving the bright white. I just hope the movie is good or I’m going to take back everything I just said out of spite.
Her Verdict: Style Winner
Christopher: Rachel McAdams is indeed smokin’ in her Emilio Pucci dress! The dress’s almost x-rated down-to-there front was definitely one of the highlights on the red carpet runway last week. Rachel is usually known for her demure couture choices at premieres…which is why it was so interesting to see her take a daring risk in a dress that flashed a lot of skin, and featured shoulders that could almost pass for footballer shoulder pads. The fabric is so dreamy and the dress is so different from what we have been seeing lately on the red carpet. That’s exactly why I love it.
